A Castle for Dinosaurs
The girls created an interesting dinosaur playscape today while at the sand centre. They describe their play below.
"This is the egg and a baby is going to hatch out of it."
"This is their bed with an egg that's going to hatch. There's the mom."
"This is the baby's sand breakfast."
"This is a castle for dinosaurs because it's cold outside."
"There is a fireplace and a small bed where the baby can sleep. And the momma's in the nest waiting for the egg to hatch. "

Green
We read a book called "Green" that describes the various shades of green that exist in the world. It's a beautiful book with vivid illustrations.
At the art centre we set up a painting provocation with a choice of paints and palettes. The children were invited to create their own shades of green by mixing different colours on their palettes.
Writing and Drawing
Our writing centre was very busy today with lots of children spending their time drawing and writing.
