Fighting Island Exploration

Our children came to school today full of questions and ideas for their play related to their experiences yesterday at Fighting Island.  We were so excited to follow their lead and support their ideas for exploration. We are hoping that these ideas continue to evolve and grow so that the field trip is the catalyst for much learning in our classroom.

Turning our water table into the Fighting Island pond! The children thought back to the different animals and vegetation they observed, found the appropriate items in our classroom, and added them to the water table to replicate the pond habitat.
