We tried a new alphabet website today called www.abcya.com that the children loved! You can access this on your home computer if you have access to the internet.

Victoria Day
An important announcement!
Families, you will notice moving forward the inclusion of more multimedia elements on the blog. We are eager to implement more technology into the classroom as a tool of learning and reflection for students. The child in this video was able to create the important message, practice, record, and choose a final video for inclusion in the post using our iphone.

Nuts and Bolts
The children investigated various sizes of nuts and bolts today. Manipulating such small objects is great for strengthening fine motor control and hand-eye coordination.

I Spy Snails
Miss J had her backyard taken over by snails this week and took a photo to show the children. We posted it in our science area and challenged the children to count how many snails they could spy!
Recording our guess...
Creating with Shapes
What can you turn a triangle into? We challenged the children to consider this during our morning message time.

Exploring Snails
We had some snails on the table today for the children to explore.
We encouraged the children to record their observations on a piece of large, communal butcher paper covering the table.
The children had lots to say about their experiences and were eager to share their observations with one another.
