Lively Lizards
Many of our children were intrigued this week by the addition of lizards, rocks, and greenery to our sand center. Some children spent their entire play time working here! Children engaged in imaginative, dramatic play while using rich vocabulary to describe what their lizards were doing. Some dug holes and hid their lizards while others pretended that their lizards had camoflaged and hid beneath the greenery.

There was so much rich, interactive conversation happening at this center. We'll add more materials to it as the days go by to deepen the play.
